...This footage is devoted to the massacre of the Jewish community of Lubny, Ukraine, perpetrated by the Sonderkommando 4a, on October 16, 1941.
Although there is no involvement of Ordnungspolizei units in this slaughter, it has been anyway decided to create this clip because of the extraordinary emotional power that emerges from these images: a case, probably unique as far as we are known, of "photo reportage" taken during the stages that immediately preceded the start of the shootings, and that survived to this day intact and loaded with its chilling drama.
