Дерек задался вопросом об определении скорости света в одном направлении и понял, что её никак не измерить, что порождает ряд возможностей для того, а чему же на самом деле равна скорость света, если известна нам только скорость, рассчитанная для движения света туда-обратно, но никак не в одну сторону. И что допущение Эйнштейна о том, что скорость света одинакова во всех направлениях - не более чем условность, но никак не эмпирически установленный факт. Что порождает вероятность того, что свет может распространяться с разной скоростью в зависимости от направления. И ставит под сомнение понятие "одновременности".
